Abstract


Objectives: This study investigated elements influencing dental bleaching Behavior and presented course model through verification of fidelity between hypothetical model demonstrating tooth whitening Behavior and actual data.

Methods: This study includes self answered survey from Sep. 10 to Oct. 12, 2018 with female college students in their twenties enrolled in 10 universities 3 metropolitan cities (Busan, Daegu, Ulsan) and small and medium cities (Jinju, Gumi, Gyeongsan) and 541 students were analysis targets.

Results: For tooth satisfaction, direct and indirect effects were significant, which were verified as determinant influencing tooth whitening Behavior(p<0.01). Also, it was found that satisfaction with oral health status and tooth color had an effect on subjective beauty standards and dental bleaching Behavior.

Conclusions: We expect that this study will provide the right education for oral health and beauty to minimize adverse reaction of dental bleaching and maximize the beauty function of teeth and become base data for improvement of quality of oral health life.
